David E. Burns is a Director in Imperial Capital’s New York Office. With over 15 years of experience in complex financial restructuring, distressed M&A, and special situations financing, Mr. Burns has advised companies and creditors in a wide range of situations in the Americas and Europe, including Delphi, Chemtura, Fleetwood Enterprises, Anchor Glass, High Voltage Engineering, Grupo TMM, S.A., Armstrong World Industries, and Owens Corning. Mr. Burns’ previous advisory experience includes time at Greenhill & Co., LLC, Merrill Lynch’s Global Special Situations Group, and Houlihan Lokey. Prior to this, Mr. Burns practiced law in the business reorganization department of LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae in New York, and served as law clerk to the Hon. Leif M. Clark, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Western District of Texas. Mr. Burns holds a B.A. from Vassar College (Phi Beta Kappa), a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law, and an L.L.M. from the University of Edinburgh.
