LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - Nov 8, 2011) - Imperial Capital, LLC, a full service investment banking firm, announced today the Firm's continued expansion efforts with the hiring of ten additional Equity Sales & Trading professionals. Imperial Capital continues to strengthen its capital structure sales and trading platform for institutional clients. The Firm expects recruiting and expansion of its franchise to continue.

Joining Imperial Capital's Equity Sales & Trading team are ten professionals significantly adding equity sales & trading expertise to the franchise: Bryan Therriault, Managing Director and Senior Trader; Guy Corcoran, Managing Director, Equity Sales; Seth Gusow, Managing Director, Equity Sales and Trading; Glenn Blitzer, Senior Vice President, Equity Sales; Tim Coughlin, Senior Vice President, Equity Sales; Alex Fonti, Senior Vice President, Equity Sales; Peter Lukas, Senior Vice President, Equity Sales; Chris Mullin, Senior Vice President, Equity Sales; Taylor Joseph, Equity Sales Associate and Alan English, Equity Sales Associate.

Mr. Bryan Therriault joins Imperial Capital as a Managing Director and Senior Trader in the Equity Sales & Trading Group. With approximately 13 years in the securities business, Mr. Therriault was most recently a Trader with Jefferies & Company, Inc. as Senior Vice President, Sector Head of Old Economy and prior to this, Senior Vice President, Sector Head of Small Cap and Distressed Equity Trading. Mr. Therriault also was with Lehman Brothers as a Vice President, Small Cap trading Desk. Mr. Therriault earned a Bachelor of Science from Elon University.

Mr. Guy Corcoran joins Imperial Capital as a Managing Director in Equity Sales. With nearly 20 years in the securities industry, Mr. Corcoran spent the bulk of his career with Citigroup Global Markets as a Director, Equity Sales Trader. Most recently, Mr. Corcoran was a Director, Equity Sales Trader with Citadel Securities. Mr. Corcoran earned a Bachelor of Arts from Mercy College.

Mr. Seth Gusow joins Imperial Capital as a Managing Director in Equity Sales and Trading and brings 15 years of securities experience. Most recently, Mr. Gusow was a Managing Director with FBN Securities where he helped build the equity sales and trading business. Mr. Gusow also was a Senior Vice President with Prudential Securities and began his career with Morgan Stanley Dean Witter as a financial advisor. Mr. Gusow majored in Finance at the University of Maryland.

Mr. Glenn Blitzer joins Imperial Capital as a Senior Vice President in Equity Sales. Prior to joining Imperial Capital, Mr. Blitzer was a Managing Director, Head of Sales & Trading with Hapoalim Securities. With over 25 years in the securities business, Mr. Blitzer began his career with Bank of New York and UBS Securities. Later, he was a Vice President and Senior Position Trader with Citigroup. Mr. Blitzer earned a Master of Science from Pace University and a Bachelor of Science from Long Island University.

Mr. Tim Coughlin joins Imperial Capital as a Senior Vice President in Equity Sales. Most recently, Mr. Coughlin was in Equity Trading & Sales at Dahlman Rose & Co, LLC. Prior to this, Mr. Coughlin was with Cantor Fitzgerald in the Equity Trading & Sales Group. Mr. Coughlin began his career as Vice President, Head of Healthcare Trading with Jefferies & Co, Inc. Mr. Coughlin earned a Master of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Massachusetts.

Mr. Alex Fonti joins Imperial Capital as a Senior Vice President in Equity Sales. Most recently, Mr. Fonti was a Vice President, Institutional Equity Sales & Trading with Jefferies & Company, Inc. where he spent ten years of his career. Mr. Fonti earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Finance from Georgetown University.

Mr. Peter Lukas joins Imperial Capital as a Senior Vice President. With approximately 20 years in the securities business, Mr. Lukas joined Imperial from Gleacher & Company Inc. (formerly Broadpoint Securities Group and First Albany) where he was a Managing Director, Equity Sales Trading. Prior to this, Mr. Lukas was a Sales Trader with JP Morgan Chase (formerly Hambrecht & Quist). Mr. Lukas earned a Master of Business Administration from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts from Villanova University.

Mr. Chris Mullin joins Imperial Capital as a Senior Vice President in Equity Sales. Prior to joining Imperial Capital, Mr. Mullin spent the bulk of his career with approximately 8 years at UBS Investment Bank as an Associate Director in Institutional Equity Sales. Most recently, Mr. Mullin was a Vice President of Business Development for Duet Asset Management in NY. Mr. Mullin earned a Bachelor of Science from Villanova University.

Mr. Taylor Joseph joins the Equity Sales team at Imperial Capital as a Sales Associate. Most recently, Mr. Joseph was a Domestic Equity Hybrid Salestrader in the Institutional Equity Sales Group at BTIG LLC. Prior to this, Mr. Joseph was with Jefferies & Company, Inc. where he was a Cash Equity Sales & Trading Analyst. Mr. Joseph earned a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University.

Mr. Alan English joins Imperial Capital as a Sales Associate in Equity Sales. Most recently, Mr. English was an Institutional Equity Sales professional at Dahlman Rose & Co., LLC. Prior to joining the securities business, Mr. English began his career in commercial real estate, most notably with CB Richard Ellis. Mr. English earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Rollins College in Winter Park, FL.
