Capital Markets

Broad Distribution Capabilities

Imperial Capital is a full-service investment bank with broad distribution capabilities across the entire capital structure. Imperial Capital's capital markets activity is primarily agency-based; as such, this client-focused business model avoids the potential conflicts and competing interests of extensive proprietary activity. This independence is highly valued by our clients, along with our strong capabilities to efficiently and effectively place and syndicate a broad variety of debt and equity instruments through our sales and trading team, which covers over 1,200 institutional accounts. We have expertise in trading in bank loans, high yield, distressed and investment grade debt, convertible securities and equities through our extensive institutional network.

Imperial Capital has a well-established niche in raising high yield bonds and leveraged loans for middle market issuers. We also have considerable expertise at arranging DIP financings, exit financings or devising a rescue financing alternative for companies in financial distress. Imperial Capital also is actively involved in trading securities issued by companies undergoing restructuring or reorganization (both pre and post-restructuring transactions), providing liquidity for what may be otherwise illiquid securities. Transaction sizes range from $10 to $500 million, generally, but may include even larger size transactions in a financial advisory capacity. Our capital markets professionals draw on the firm's financing, valuation, and restructuring expertise to solve complex capital structure issues, enhancing value for our corporate clients and their investors.
